South West Private Chefs started from a passion for travel, culture, fine wine, classic cocktails & of course food! Our Chef, Loran, started her culinary career in 2009 in the small hamlet of Ugborough in South West Devon, boasting tranquil farm life & gorgeous seaside; it is no surprise that it has influenced her menus with a ‘nose to tail’ & ‘fresh from the sea’ ethos. Throughout SW Private Chef’s menus you will see influences of life in the South West along with the complimentary blending of flavours & culinary techniques from across the globe. 

Sustainability is at the core of our philosophy. At SW Private Chefs, we craft bespoke private dining experiences rooted in British seasonality and local sourcing. Our luxury catering services prioritise sustainably sourced ingredients grown, raised, or caught in the UK to create eco-conscious catering that minimises our carbon footprint. Our organic vegetable allotment, herb & edible flower garden provide fresh, homegrown elements, inspiring artisan garnishes and elegant plating decor. These seasonal treasures ensure vibrant, authentic flavours while supporting local producers and sustainable practices. While we champion eco-conscious catering, we can source premium global ingredients for unparalleled exclusivity.

You can find us located in 2 areas of this beautiful region, however we are able to ‘pack up shop’ and move to any location at any time, still with the same exceptional service, scrumptious food & flawless presentation. 

The Cotswolds - SW Private Chefs is predominantly located in the picturesque village of Bourton-on-the-Water, here we are able to offer services including luxury hampers, pre-cooked meals, game & shooting parties, oyster or caviar bar, or private dining. Whether you are in need of a corporate lunch, canape & cocktail party or wedding & event catering. No event is too big or too small! South West Devon - Situated in the South Hams, just 10 minutes from Dartmoor National Park or 20 minutes from Plymouth’s Ocean City, we offer many food & drinks packages for events, weddings & private dining of 10 people or more throughout the surrounding areas. We take advantage of our home grown allotment used throughout our menus & seasonal seafood fresh from the boats, we have teamed up with local farmers to ensure you always receive produce within a 20 mile radius of our little hub. As always we offer bespoke drinks packages, using local suppliers, however if you would like to try some of the other breweries, we are able to provide cider, lager & ales local to the Cotswold’s.

Freelance Chefs


South West Private Chefs offers a reliable freelance chef service, partnering with skilled freelance chefs in the Cotswolds & South Devon, whom bring 3 rosette and Michelin experience to kitchens across restaurants, hotels, events, and private chef sectors. We supply CDPs, sous chefs, and head chefs to meet your staffing needs, whether for temporary cover or ongoing assistance. As a complimentary service, we do not charge fees—rates are agreed directly with each chef. Simply contact us with your requirements, and we'll forward them to our dedicated WhatsApp group for chefs to connect with you via email and arrange terms. All chefs operate as self-employed professionals, invoicing clients personally for a straightforward, efficient process.
